2016:
- Speed and pacing:
- I've never thought of myself as an athlete, and definitely not a "fast runner". But since I've committed to running as part of a triathlon relay. I'll aim to focus a bit more on the numbers strictly for training purposes. The practice will go into race day, but race day is still about ultimately about the Run. :)
- 25 minute 5K as part of a sprint triathlon relay
- Sub 2 hour half marathon -- let's make this the year!
- Tamarack Ottawa Race Weekend: Half Marathon on Sunday May 29, 2016
- First time racing in Ottawa
- Toronto Triathlon Festival-- Sprint Triathlon Relay (5K Running portion) on Sunday July 9, 2016
- First time running as part of a triathlon relay team
- Aiming for a 25 minute 5K
- The Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon (STWM) again on October 16, 2016
- Third time running this race
- Aiming for a sub 2hr finish!
- Try a local running group by going to at least 2 of their meet up runs.
- I've always run alone. And I think this affects my motivation of being the consistent morning runner that I strive to be. 2014's experience of running with people in HK has enlightened me on the benefits of group training and I think peer support would keep my motivated towards my other running goals too. I hope to brake out of my shell (a teensy bit) as a runner in 2015.
- Run a sub 2 hour half-marathon.
- This didn't happen. But I'm not feeling upset about it anymore. :) Key word is anymore.
- The Goodlife Toronto Marathon with a Relay team on May 3, 2015.
- First time running in a relay team!
- Sporting Life 10K on May 10, 2015
- First 10K in Toronto!
- The Barrie Half Marathon on June 7, 2015.
- First big race in Barrie!
- The Longboat Toronto Island Run (10K) on September 13, 2015
- Running with my friend for her first 10K!
- The Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon (STWM) again on October 18, 2015
*Note: This isn't a running blog, so I won't necessarily write race reviews on all my races. I love running much more than writing.
